Exchange

Ok, so our company is planning on getting Microsoft Exchange. I work in the Help Desk so what is the first thing I should look into to get familiar with exchange?

Dont take this the wrong way, but whats the Help Desk need to get 'familiar' with Exchange for ?

Normal every day email address changes are done in Active Directory users and computers, not on Exchange server itself

Exactly!! I was very disappointed to see that change! I was wondering if they will fit in Exchange setting back into Active Directory users and computers when they introduce Longhorn. It adds a lot of extra steps do deal with!

Hire a mail admin who is familiar with mail server concepts, and has some experience with exchange 2k3 (or 2k7, but that's going to be rare). Make sure you are backing up...nothing quite like realizing your logs have filled up your hard drive and dismounted your mail store
