exchange server public folder store size error

Seeing this exchange error but I do not see where its using the 16gb at any ideas

Are you having a specific problem? That top message has nothing to do with the physical size of your Exchange database. It's an information-only message about the logical free space of the database after defragmentation. My own Exchange 2003 Server has typical values ranging from "0" to "10" MegaBytes.

ahh.. didnt understand. It locked up and had to be restarted so I was diggin threw the event viewer and saw that.
It'd likely take more than an oversize Exchange Store to lock up Exchange. Exchange would just take the Store offline. THAT, I saw too many times when Exchange Std. was limited to a 16 GB Private Store.

I can only recall one time that I've seen Exchange itself "lock up". I don't think it's very common.
