Exchange Server 2003 Training

Scarpozzi

Lifer
I'm basically switching gears and am going to have to learn Exchange Server 2003 & Active Directory ASAP. My problem is that I can't go to an official training until August or October due to the classes I'm taking in my MBA program and other conferences and business trips. What's the best way to dive into this stuff. Are there any free online webcasts or trainings that anyone can point me in the direction of? I have the Server OS, Exchange software, and VM Workstation5 installed on my desktop and have copies of VMWare ESX and GSX if I want to simulate anything in a test bed environment.

What's the best way to get me up to speed? Thanks-

I'm assuming you dont have much in the line of production experience so that training would probably be a good use of your time. Some other suggestions:

Technet has plenty of webcasts, etc. that you could take a look at (visit http://msevents.microsoft.com)

Something else that would really help you along would be some actual use of it, if you can get spare hardware together and a broadband connection at home you could set yourself up and actually route mail and join machines, etc.

Creating yourself a virtual network should also be very helpful.

One word of wizdom.. Take your time and set it up right the first time. AD and Exchange can be VERY difficult to fix if screwed up at the start.
