Exchange on Snow Leopard and the iPhone?

Hey all you IT people out there! If possible, can you explain something to me...

With my corporate Exchange account, I can connect just fine via my iPhone Activesync, however, in the Developer Build of Snow Leopard (which includes the new Exchange support) it will not connect with the same settings.

Is this because the iPhone supports a broader range of Exchange servers, are they not using ActiveSync, or is there something that needs to be configured on the server side?

I just find it odd that it works just fine on my iPhone, but doesn't in Snow Leopard.

Yea, I did read that. I just found it odd that it works with the iPhone but not Snow Leopard. I'm not sure why Apple did that.

I believe they're using 2003.
