The company I work for is about to deploy a new server and is wanting the migrate to a newer version of Exchange at the same time and we have been researching various ways to do this.

One possible complication to the process is that the new server will be on a new domain and we will need to change all the user's e-mail addy's at the same time (example: 'user@thiscompany.com' will need to change to 'user@thatccompany.com' on the new server). Will this present any particular problems? Any recommended methods for handling this situation?

The company is fairly small, so probably only about 100 mailboxes or so involved with this migration. Any tips on how to handle this welcome.

Thanks!

The Recipient Policy on the new Server will take care of automatically adding the new email addresses and changing the default address. No problem.

If you get stuck with a bunch of old addresses you don't want, those can be mass-removed with a GUI tool that allows quick mass-deletions of Active Directory objects.
ADModify - a GUI for making mass-changes to Active Directory Ojects

The latest version accepts wildcards in email addresses. This recently allowed me to delete about ten-thousand erroenous email addresses added by an improperly-written Recipient Policy.
