Exchange an LCD for too much backlight bleed?

What do you think? Would newegg consider swapping LCDs with me if I complain about excess backlight bleed? I've got about good .5"-1" worth of it on the top and bottom of my 22" Samsung 2234BWX. It is definitely noticeable while gaming if I enter a darker area it pops out at me.

I ordered it last week. Think I should wait or start the process? I knew it would have some, but I just did not know it would be obvious like this. Maybe I will try to mess with the settings some more.

Call them up and complain. Their return policy says they don't have to, so it's up to you to convince them your monitor is defective. They would probably agree to exchange it.

I just found 2 more dead pixels too. Grrrrr...thats 3 plus the bleeding.

EDIT: Newegg RMAd it for me. We shall see what I get. I asked if it would be brand new or refurb and her words were: "It will be a replacement." lol

I bought an ASUS that had terrible color (very strong yellowish cast that could not be calibrated away) plus strong backlight bleeding and input lag. I called Newegg and complained about it - even though there were no dead or stuck pixels. The girl spoke with her manager and they issued a refund to my credit card (even though thats not their policy for LCDs). Can't hurt to try.

Alright, its out of my hands now. Lets hope I get one back that is at least a little better. If not, then I will live with my mistake NOT buying from a local store. (Shipping was 24 bucks! It has to go clear across the country! LOL)
