Excessive Speaker Cone Movement

if you have the subwoofers up and running, make sure you set your front L + R speakers as small. They may be getting some subwoofer frequencies that they can't handle.

yeah, usually that is caused by more bass than the drivers can handle. If they're really well designed speaker systems, they shouldn't be doing that but it's not a problem unless the voice coils are getting too much power.

How to set front L + R speakers as small? I didn't find any option in my receiver. Is there any software?

I don't know if he's familiar with your system, but something (in general) to look for on any system would be the HPF (high pass filter). Set this at the frequency you want to block frequencies lower than where it's set, so the sub woofer handles them and not the others.

I just read through the user manual, and unlike every other HTR, you have no options for this in your Sony. I have to assume that it is set automatically for "large". Doesn't look like you can change anything.
