The US geological survey (dept) says the US has the huge undiscovered oil deposits.
Larger than all of the middle east. WTF can't we drill? Is it because of some hemp wearing hippies?

Currently too expensive to extract.

But just wait for $7/gal. gas, then try to hitch a ride with some hippies, Mr. Jones.

Drilling, in the Gulf of mexico is expensive. And i'm sure its expensive to drill up in the North Slope of Alaska. but i'm sure its still cheaper than getting at recovering oil form the oil shale, or whatever its called.

just FWIW, maybe my sarcasm meter is broken here, but this is a joke about having the secks in the most recent "House" episode, oil ain't exactly the thing getting "drilled" in this case :p.
