Threads in OT are amazing today.

I was expecting this to be some kind of motivational email.. we get those periodically.
Yes, those are present here, too. Chicken Droppings for the Soul.

For at least one of them, someone simply sent back a reply-all:
"It's fake."

:D

(Though this particular one wasn't a motivational thing, it was one of those "Forward this warning to at least 25 people...etc" things, about some terrible and incurable "most destructive [computer] virus ever" that can kill your parents and stir-fry your dog, or some such crazy thing.)

EDIT>> lol @ stock image ... they should've just said a silver key marked ____ instead of taking the time to google the right image.
Googling it only takes like 1 minute and it really helps.

odd that it wasn't attached to a key chain.

Not when you realize that it's a stock image and was supposed to be recognized as such. It may or may not have been lost with a keychain. Even so, it's NOT odd that it wouldn't have been attached to one. Keys are often removed and shared temporarily and would not only have been loose but also easier to lose.

My Kwikset key looks like that! And the copy that Lowes made for me!

And it's odd how this person was able to do a transparent gif of it. I hope they're not wasting away their skills as a receptionist!

*facepalm*
The whole POINT was to show exactly what a stock image would show. Describing it as a "silver key" would have widened the scope significantly.

I don't see what's so odd about that email. You see the picture, and if you own a key like that you check to see if yours is lost.
