Excellent -- made over $400 today at our garage sale!

Had a better response to our "dump the junk" garage sale, and apparently my worries about high prices were ill-founded. We still have a $75 couch and a few other pieces of furniture that hopefully will depart tomorrow or the next day. I even unloaded 18 MREs that I had accumulated from exercises in Japan (they cost me $3, sold them for $1.50 each).

Now I have to dig through the closets tonight to see if there's anything else I can throw out there. 🙂

You had a garage sale on a Thursday and made $400? Imagine what you would've made if the sale were on a Saturday!

Apparently Thursdays are big sale days around here. A friend had a garage sale on Friday and Saturday and didn't sell much. Some people told him that Thursdays are big in this area -- no idea why.

We had probably 25 people stop by. Two Hispanic guys bought a crapload of stuff. One guy bought $47 worth of stuff and paid $42 of it in ones! Who carries that many ones??

Very little computer stuff sold though. Have to post in FS/FT next week.

I dropped all of my stuff off at a Salvation Army in 45 minutes and got an $1100 tax deduction.

Do the math 🙂 A $.50 shirt is worth $5 on your taxes!

We don't itemize our taxes, and we're also trying to get money back with a $10,000 tax credit from our adoption. Every time we reduce our taxes, it takes longer!

Made another $250 today. One more day to go!

Resellers, they most likely will take the stuff you sold them and sell it at a swapmeet and or ebay. That's were all the ones came from.
