Digit-Life has a very nice roundup of KT266A boards. Some of the popular boards, like Soyo and Epox are missing. But a very good review by a very good site. Here's the review, KT266A Roundup.
The Dragon and the Epox boards are missing. I'd love to see the Dragon+ in the roundup since I own one and want to feel that my purchase was well justified.
Consider that all of the KT266A boards benched within just a few % points of one another. That says (to me) that there wouldn't be a noticeable performance difference (in actual use) between any of them. IMHO, it's really the features (and support) that separate the KT266A boards!
2) could be difficult but should be attempted before you just jump to 3...I think we can agree on that, right?? Do a little research, and ask questions here in the fourms.

All that accomplishes is reading many different opinions (everyone touting their preference and/or badmouthing something else)! It's almost impossible to objectively assess a mobo based on your 2nd point. You find both recommendations and horror-stories for just about every board (in every forum)!
