Thanks!

It's not to me. The door on my personal confuser is always closed, and I wouldn't sit and stare at the sleeves anyway. (No my unsleeved cables don't pose a airflow/cooling problem).

I like the efficiency of the Enhance (80+), the power, and the almost nil ripple...

There is an ST50EF and a ST50EF-Plus. (Any of their PSU's with the 'SC' label just means "short-cable" version for SFF cases. It will be the exact same PSU just with shorter cables.)

As for the EF and EF-Plus, they are actually two different PSU's. I had the same question about the differences in SS's 500W PSU's, so I asked johnnyguru for some clarification. He actually contacted SS about this and here is the direct quote from Silverstone to Johnnyguru on this subject:
The ST50EF and ST50EF-Plus are two different PSUs. In fact, the ST50EF is
more related to our ST56F than ST50EF-Plus. We had sent the ST56F to 80
PLUS for certification last year but it didn't pass so that is where the
ST50EF-Plus came in.

The regular EF is still a very good PSU and quite efficient, but apparently just not quite efficient enough acroos the entire load range to get the 80-plus certification. It probably dips just below 80% at very low loads or something.

I much prefer mine sleeved simply because it looks so much better and makes the cables much easier to route thru the case. There might be some improved airflow with sleeved cables, but really the asthetics is why I like my PSU's sleeved.

It's just individual taste really. If you are someone who wants the inside of your case to look very neat and clean, then sleeved cables can really help you out. If you're not concerned with that, then there is no reason to spend extra money for a PSU simply because it's sleeved.

Second (and more importantly), ordering from ewiz is a risky deal. I orderd my Silverstone from Newegg simply because I won't order anything from ewiz. If you ever have to return anything to them, or even cancel an order thas hasn't shipped.........good luck. I went thru that with Monarch and learned my lesson.
Now buying from an unknow vendor always has risks, but with ewiz, the risks are well known so I choose to avoid them altogether (same with Monarch).

For what it's worth...

I ordered the Enhance 5140gh (400w version) from ewiz. The package came with a big bite taken out of the side of it and very little protection to the PSU itself. However, the PSU works flawlessly. The $12 shipping killed me though.

Now I'm debating whether it's a better idea to just bite the bullet and spend a lot extra getting the Silverstone from newegg, or trying another good reputation brand that has some sort of bargain PSU.

Any word on average shipping prices from DeadeyeData?

I think they charge "real" shipping prices. USPS from Texas to Ohio cost me $11 for 1 PSU and 2 120mm fans.

And as far as sleeving goes, I've accidentally cut a wire when trying to remove zipties from my cables, and find that with sleeving this is much more difficult.

I was very warry of that too! First thing I did was send an e-mail inquiring as to whether the PSUs were refurbished or new, and within an hour or so the site manager (Jennifer) contacted me back and assured me all their products are factory fresh and sealed. Like I said earlier, my order was shipped the same day and packaging was top notch (I'm picky about this).

By the way, I was the last person to leave a resellerrating.
