Excel spreadsheets inside Word

I have two spreadsheets in a Word document right now and they share some common fields. Is there a way to have one of them reference the other so that when I modify one of them, the other also changes?

I know it's possible to have both link to an external Excel file, but I need to use embedded spreadsheets here.
