OK, so you have a spreadsheet and want to highlight columns A124:G234 or something like that...

So you start at A124 and scroll down but the scrolling happens so fast (300-400 lines in an instant) that you skip to G435 or something...

Is there some sort of setting to adjust the scroll speed? I hope so...

An easier way is to click the first cell of the range (don't hold it down) -- this moves the cursor to that location. Then find the last cell using the scroll bars, and hold down shift as you click it. This should hilight everything from your first click to your last.

Thanks for responding guys...

Traire: that method works well if you're going to the "stops" on the upper left corner. Otherwise, in the example I gave, that method doesn't "give you anything" as it will still "run over" the stop point at to fast a speed...

CC: Yes, that works but using the scroll bars seems tedius and a little cumbersome.

Wouldn't it be nice if one could use the + and - keys to change the scroll speed on the fly... Oh dear MS, if you could just make some good software : )
