Excel question: how to make error bars for individual data points?

Ok, trying to make a chart in Excel. I know how to make error bars for standard deviation and stuff, but it gets applied to all the data in a series. How can I make custom error values for each individual data point, since the error for each one is different.

Excel is designed for the business man, it sux for scientific applications. You will need to find a good scientific plotter to do what you want. I am pretty familiar with Excel and am pretty sure it will not EASILY do what you want. Look at the chart for stocks, it allows hi/lo marks perhaps you can trick it into doing what you need.
