Excel question - filling large number of rows

So I need to have two columns of data. One of them exists in an excel sheet and is about 400,000 rows.

I want to make a column for the second one which is just raw numbers going up by .01 so 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, and so on until I have enough (x) values to match up with the (y).

How can I populate all those cells other than selecting a few cells and dragging down for 10 minutes?

Much appreciated.

And nevermind - found the solution. FINALLY

Type first number
Hit Fill in the "editing" section of the Home tab
Enter steps between numbers and stop value
voila
