Is there any way to get an Excel document to save its print settings? I have a user that doesn't want to change his default printer in Windows but he wants one specific Excel 2003 file to print with a certain printer with specific settings.

User is using Excel 2003 and XP Pro. He SWEARS he used to do this. I think otherwise. Anyone have some insight?

Sam25 thanks for the link. I found the workbook customization and the user said that did not work for him. I'm going to look at the macros that I can to run. However, I don't know if the user wants something that technical. He is looking for more of a "Excel shouldn't care what my default printer is" answer... :(

Hopefully you can talk them into autorecording a macro: select their favorite printer & then print.

You could add a custom button to a toolbar with that code as the action.

I'd go with a macro. That or the user can spend the extra few seconds selecting the printer needed.
