excel chart making question

gorcorps

aka Brandon
I'm making a chart from a data table I have. It's basically a reading of temperature every second of a cooling part over an hour and a half or so. I have the chart made, but I have several lines on each chart so I want the lines to have symbols on them as I can't print in color and that's the only way to differentiate them. I found what I need if I right click the line itself and click 'format data series'... from there I can set a pattern.

Here's the prob: it automatically puts my chosen pattern once every data point, and there's so many it just looks like a really thick line. What can I do to choose how the pattern marker is spaced? I have office xp
