Not too bad. Could be better though. Having the ad in the middle of the screen is a bit annoying. They need to move it to one of the corners and put some sort of UI box around it denoting that it is an ad. Also, the ad can be cleared away by hitting the clear button.
 
well that sucks ass...

I've got a standalone and a DirecTV TiVo... fortunately my DirecTV TiVo is hacked so I don't have to put up with this crap!
 
While I can't say I blame them for trying to find revenue... My gut is reaction is "ewww".

Maybe I'll have to map a remote button to FF+Clear to immediately turn off the ad (assuming they're going forward with this advertising model)
 
I would have no problem with this as long as (A) the time it takes to fast forward doesn't increase and (B) I can easily stop the fast forward when I reach the end of the commercials and start of the programming.
 
Hmm - I wonder if I got the update that includes those? I got some sort of software upgrade last weekend, because when I got back here Monday morning, my 30 second skip didn't work and I had to turn it on again (telltale sign of a software upgrade). There was no messege from Tivo about one, so I kind of dismissed it.

I never use FF/RW anyway, unless I want to do a 15 minute skip. 30 second skip for life 🙂

Edit: Nope - I don't have them, just was able to FF/RW through the live TV buffer without incident
 
I haven't seen it yet on my TiVo so I wonder when it will go "live"...

I wonder if it's every time you fast forward or if it's just during certain programs and whatnot...
