He only retired a few years ago. RIP, not many like him around any more.

I just saw that. He was one mean motor scooter. He beat up a lot of people.

I would have never expected this even considering all his off ice problems.

He had some pretty soft hands and a nice scoring touch for such a good enforcer. Those were the days Proby and Joey, the bruise brothers.

His fights with Domi were great. When he and Kocur were on the ice watch the f*ck out.

Every young wannabe enforcer coming up would single out Probie and throw down to prove his cred on the ice. I think he even said in an interview he was tired of it while still playing. I remember a game I saw in chicago where he scored, during halftime Chris Farley ran out on the ice and and pretended to fall down about a dozen times while the entire place laughed.

First time I saw Probie fight live he broke Currans jaw

hmm i don't know much about the guy but i wonder if it's the fights that took a toll on him or drugs or just bad luck
