EX-Intel Chief found dead of apparent suicide

I may not be Dave, but I can smell something rotten in this one. I don't buy suicide. I feel in my bones a Govt coverup of sorts.

Maybe he was eating his lunch, and bit into a bullet and somehow it went off!

It could have been suicide. The Hariri assasination is what precipitated Syria's exit from Lebanon. It might have been murder/execution by suicide. The Syrian government went to the head of the supect list immediately because of the size, location and type of bomb used.

It's almost comical that the backlash from Hariri's assassination has caused Syria more grief than all the bluster Bush could offer.

They seemed to have determined it was suicide rather quickly. But then I read the text of how he signed off on that radio show just a few hours earlier, sorta sealed it.

I heard he made a statement before the suicide (maybe a few days) saying "This might be my last statement" - on NPR.

edit: in the article too:

He ended his comment by saying "I think this is the last statement I might give."

His body was found three hours later.

Well I spose he could have anticipated being killed.

Where was he shot in the head exactly? I only ask because even in the US a rather interesting number of politically connected individuals have been shot in the back of the head once, twice or up to even 6 times and it has been called everything from suicide to robbery. Usually suicide.
