So my cat caught a praying mantis, tore off it's head, and left both it's head and body laying on my living room floor. When I touched the head to try and get rid of it, it started moving and squirming around on the floor. Fvcking gross.

Ugh, I've never seen a real praying mantis before. The whole undead behavior thing makes me not like them very much.

LOL Thats funny you mention that. There were 2 of them on my patio yesturday. It was the first time I ever seen them as well. They were just walking around near my plants outside relaxing. I let my dog out but he just sniffed at them and walked back in the house.

there was once a wasp messing with my food. When it was standing still, I cut it's head off with my knife and the body and head(they were REALLY cut off, no physical contact anymore) and it moved for about 2 minutes. Weird.

I saw my second mantis a few days ago in a parking lot. It was about 2 inches long walking along. Nasty creatures.

female praying mantis rip the head off of a male praying mantis to have sex, bet you didn't know that. Perhap you've got a sexed up female praying mantis somewhere in your room, nothing to do with the cat.

:D
