Ews377ap wont reset password :(

Tried admin admin about 200x. Reset with pin until power led went off release button ap reboots and password still does not work for admin admin enginus aws377ap. Emailed support said same thing hold pin 30 seconds. What to try?

Well, it hasn't reset to defaults if your SSIDs don't reset as well.

Some need to hold the button down and then power on while holding it down.

I tried that too. But just 5x with different variations. The thing doesn't seem to recognize the reset button till it has booted up. I think my hand is cramping from holding the button down so long 🙁

I guess I don't even want to use this but kills me to throw it out or maybe rma?

Might be an option. Then I would probably sell the replacement and get something different.

I've thought about getting an Engenius with BE but, just can't see spending $500+ for an AP for personal use. I've got a couple of $40 M2's to setup using linux hostapd but just waiting for the proper modules to be released to make it work. I've done it in the past with AC and it worked just fine so, taking another stab at it with BE. AX wasn't an option since the only vendor was Intel and they don't do AP mode very well.

Well I use a mesh with asus ax88u and ax3000 and another ac86u for my network atm. I even tried different admin 123456 etc combinations

Ok...

So, going from consumer gear to enterprise can be an experience. Did you get into the admin console prior to this post? Did you get the AP new?
