Evolution ?

I'm just curious about a couple things.

1. So there is the big bang that caused everything to come into being....but where the crap did all the stuff in the big bang come from? I can buy the evolution story but we can't get something out of nothing.

2. I've read in multiple places that the sun is shrinking. If you do the math and go back like 25 million years, the sun would have been touching the earth. So if the shrink rate of the sun isn't linear, then how the crap do we know that many of our other predictions aren't linear as well? I guess another example would be the amount of dust on the moon.

Please don't turn this into a crazy I hate you...no I hate you debate about who knows what and other junk.

And you base this on what? Your own lack of understanding?

In science, "I don't know" is a valid answer that indicates that no conclusive information is presently available. "I don't know" is NOT synonymous with "humans can never know".

I'll agree with SampSon. We can never learn all that there is in the universe. It is my belief that the universe is infinite, and being finite creatures, we don't have the capacity to understand everything. I also believe that this world will come to an end, and so learning everything is a moot point. But I do believe science is beneficial overall and we should learn as much as possible, for the advancement of technology that helps save human life.

I don't get it.....If I said I hate religion or I love religion there would tons of people giving me reasons why evolution/religion are so freakin great.

Where did you read the Sun is shrinking? Where did you see a rate for this? Let's see your math.

Just google sun shrinking. You'll get plenty of arguments/info.

As the sun was still in its infact stages, the gases were still being compressed through the nuclear fusion. As a matter of fact, the sun, as of now, is expanding. There is a build up of helium in the sun's inner layers due to nuclear fusion. Then you get the red giant scenario, then a pop with bright flash, followed with dwarf stages.

Thank you for the sun info. Now anyone for #1? Are there any theories on this?
