My hero

Probably one of the wackiest things I've seen put forth as an argument against Evolution as a theory. :(

I have actually never heard of Chuck Missler so I took the opportunity to educate myself.

Wiki

It's a little disconcerting that this guy was once Branch Chief of the Department of Guided Missles. In light of the fact that:

"His books and videos discuss broad subjects such as Bible ministry and prophecy study resources, alien and UFO conspiracies, the apocalypse, and the return of Christ. Some cite his background in engineering and mathematics as contributing factors to his Bible teachings that describe "cosmic codes within the Scriptures" and view the Bible as an "integrated message system from outside our time domain," "telling us history in advance".

In 1999, Chuck Missler received his Ph.D. from the unaccredited Louisiana Baptist University where he is currently a speaker."

Guy is a whackjob to say the least. Is Idaho really that boring?

The bozo's opening statement in this video is:
I would say this. Any theory on the origin of life on the Earth, or any other planet as far as that's concerned, is a fairy tale.
For a start, the theory of evolution does NOT attempt to explain the origin of life. It describes how living creatures evolved once life existed.

He's living proof that evolution works both ways, and the endpoint for his path could easily, a nd appropriately, be a Darwin award.

It's actually quite a miracle that heavily processed foods like peanut butter don't evolve.

Twinkies with mandibles - now that's a scary proposition.

The foil on that peanut butter jar looked like it had been opened before the video. I wonder if he checked to make sure there really was no life in it before filming :p

I agree with his statement about theories on the origin of life, and you are right evolution doesn't fall under that statement. I'm not exactly sure he deserves a darwin award as he's obviously a smart man. Even smart people can be misguided.... :)

:D:D, it would be rather inconvenient if he used the 1 Jar that just happened to spawn life.

Bah, no crazier than believing Jesus was born of a virgin, fed many thousands with a few loaves of bread and a handful of fish, walked on water, healed the crippled, dumb, and blind without doctors or medicine, ressurected the dead and then rose himself from the dead and was able to eat fish with his followers even though he had gaping wounds on his side, and finally ascended into heaven like smoke rising to the clouds.

If God was so powerful that He created trillions of galaxies and set them all in motion, knows the very number of hairs on our head and where every strand goes, even our very thoughts from conception to our dying breath, why does He not come down and perform some shazzam-bam magic man tricks, feed the poor, stop wars, bring peace to the middle east, solve all our man made problems?

Even the staunchest nonbeliever would then have to bow down in holy reverence to such a being after proof is presented, if not then off with their head and justifiably so.

Doesn't matter anyway, very few truly believe in such nonsense, they just say they do so they won't get disenfranchized from their families, churches, friends, associates, etc.

1 Corinthians 2:14

14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Foolishness is not the same as appearing Foolish. Perhaps Spiritual Matters seem Foolish to some, but being Foolish does not mean being Spiritual.

But the spiritual always look to be foolish to fools.
