that guy is annoying sometimes, and can be biased.. but this video is fun to watch and the EVO of course does kick ass!

All it shows is that to drive it properly you need to be on the power band, as was shown when The Stig took it around the track and didn't get on the power coming round the Hammerhead, which lost him a couple of seconds.

Dude..calm down. Jeremy jsut loves showing weaknesses in just about everything. Turbo Lag is a known weakness, and he likes comparing it with vehicles that have engines that overcome such weaknesses. ...like Ferrari😛


heh, even then, he holds back no punches (f40 traffic light quote quote😉 )

It's like saying that a Supercharger overcomes that specific weakness of the Exhaust-powered Turbo by applying power allthroughout the power band. It isn't a close-and-shut definative answer, but the point is made.

In addition, he criticizes the inefficient fuel consumption, despite the amoutn of power that is produced out of such a small engine.

One of the reasons Top Gear might one day find itself obsolete. Jeremy is a pretentious prick, and we will able to deal with him for so long....

I have no idea what episode it's from or where to get it from. In fact, I don't even remember where I got this one. 😛

Jeremy was insulting the EVo's ride and the clutch as well, no? It is kinda silly when you think about it. The sportier you get, the stiffer these parts get - you can't have a car that doesn't sway, and is smooth as silk! Racing clutches are harsh compared to daily driving clutches - obviously the FQ400 will have a very snappy one! And the turning radius? wtf, I didn't know it was bad. My lancer turns really well, but then again I have regular 14" wheels 😛

I definitely did notice that he was not in the powerband all the time, but he still turned a great overall time.

I found the guy biased because I saw an episode where they did a drag race between the corvette, nsx, porsche and some others. The Corvette came in last? I find that hard to believe for a car that does 0-60 in what, 4 seconds? Plus it's a torque monster with huge rear wheels. Shouldn't it at least have one off-the-bat? I doubt an NSX would have eaten a Corvette off the bat in a real word drag race.

oh yeah and on another episode he was insulting the NEW corvette which is insane! they were saying how the suspension sucked cause it was based on leaf-spring or something? WTF? The vette is one of the best handling road cars in the world today. This is proven by countless victories, reviews and tests - it simply eats all the competition alive going around the track. I couldn't believe they found so much bad to say about it! And they kept referring to the US as "the colonies"... wtf is that! just sounded almost... racist, to me.
