Tom's

This review comes from yesterday. I have to say this card is looking cheap for the feature set! 64Mb at $139.
Does anyone here have one or have seen one? It seems quite new. I figure tile based rendering is at last an intelligent approach to rendering with less insane wastage of bandwidth etc. It could even make INTEGRATED graphics rock with system DDR!!!!!! Look at the bandwidth comparison graphs on that article and think about it.

featurepak
Flat and Gouraud shading / Perspective texturing and shading.
Specular highlights / D3D Bump mapping.
8 Layer Multi-texturing support / 32-bit Z/Stencil buffer.
Internal True Color (tm) 32-bit ARGB internal rendering and layer blending.
Full tile blend buffer / Z load/ YUV and DXT textures.
Table and per vertex fog / Palletised textures.
16-bit textures / 32-bit textures.
Point, bilinear, trilinear and anisotropic filtering.
Full range of OpenGL and D3D blend modes.
Alpha test / Full scene anti-aliasing.
Realistic Environments using 8-Layer Multitexturing.
Direct3D Environment Bump Mapping (EMBM).

Hong Kong has it, price is higher than mx with tv-out but Evil Kyro is 64M.
Kyro doesn't have T&L, this could be a big problem.
In us, it's better to get ELSA mx for $95 from onvia.

just imagine the speed with the power of an NV15, or Rampage behind it! hehe..

it would definetly be a great project..

I have one :)
I got it here on this board for $125 (no tv out though)

I want new drivers and a o/c utility, it can only get better!

shawn_16, do you mean it's very slow as it is?
I was thinking that with DDR motherboard chipsets, although the data path is 64 bit and latency higher than typical video memory, integrated chipsets using an economised 1/3 of the bandwidth could play games pretty well. For those of us who aren't fanatics about games, it seems entirely viable, right?
