Well, we got like 8 inches of snow. Stupid snow.

Edit: Ok, I just measured for our forecast. It's 5". All of the schools are closed today. I thought that all of these extreme northern people, who laugh because I ask them snow questions, could handle it.

I love seeing all the extreme people that have to put up with gargantuan amounts of snow comment on how much snow they have to deal with, all the while suggesting that no one else even knows what "real" snow is.

My friend moved to southern West Virginia. It's super-mountainous and they get a lot of snow. I'd hate to live there.

Heh, I've been getting about 2 calls per minute about the snow, but this woman takes the cake:

me: "WBIW/QRK/The Eagle"
her: "Yes, has the naval base shut down?"
me: "um... no"

I would hope that 5" of snow wouldn't be enough to shut down the Navy. That just seems kind of silly to me.

I drove through that on the OH turnpike too, going home for Thanksgiving. Didn't mind it much. Snow's not that bad to drive in as long as you're careful. (And being used to it helps too.)
