eVGA's Reputation

as much as i hate to say it, i think the evga is the best high-end video card for the price that is out there right now.

good, I just decided to get an e-Geforce FX 5900 128MB instead of a 9700 Pro I previously planned to get, Thanks

What happened to being fed up with nvidia and not trusting them anymore? 😉

Well, I did say that I did not trust ATI completely and did lose some trust of Nvidia.

ATI seems has gotten better, but they seem to have some hardware problems and some driver issues still be combat. I also believe that Nvidia just made a mistake with this architecture. I think that they felt cheated that Microsoft released HLSL after Nvidia released Cg and that is why they were compelled to cheat. Also in this new article, they show the whole picture and don't try to cover up things you don't see.

I just think it was one mistake. And although the hardware isn't taylored to DX9, it works nicely with the mixed code. I expect them to cream ATI or at least pose more competition in the next gen card. I also said I would wait until the next gen cards to hit until a final decision is made.

LOL, a bit OT here, but I have to remember this little phrase (bold text) the next time I do something questionable.

i think they make good cards but i've never purchased one myself

nice little nvidia vs. ati thread this has turned into

eVGA's Reputation=sparkling and they back their product well IME.

I currently have a eVGA GF4 Ti4200 vide card which works great, no problems once I got the original card RMA from Newegg.com

The original eVGA GF4 Ti4200 that I purchased had problems when I would play any DX games. Talked with eVGA tech support, which was extremely easy to reach and ran through some diagnostic stuff and they recommended that I RMA the card.

A+++ since I got the replacement card.

Blame "Hatim".. The thread title is cut and dry. Theres always one.. or two... or 17 etc.etc.

My eVGA 5900 roxors boxors anything I throw at it. and it overclocks past ultra speeds. I o/c'd mine when I first got it just to see
how far it would go. But now I just run it at stock speeds which is way more than enough power.

eVGA cards are very plain looking. With the standard green PCB and nvidia reference heatsink/fan. They dont seem to be into the "glitzy" market
but they sure are quality cards.
