Check it out. Anyone find any reviews? eVGA's pretty new to the whole motherboards scene, but they've got some nForce3 boards (I think they've only made boards for nForce3 and nForce4)

Yeah for sure. But hey, EVGA's selling the Ultra board on their site for $150. Newegg's selling it for $110. So you could sell it back for $120 (and pretend you bought it for $150).

1) Buy for $110
2) Sell for $120
3) ..........
5) Profit?

- OEMish design
- Front USB connectors are 1.1 only

Go with DFI, EPoX, or MSI. 🙂

i'm looking at it and i'm confused by the slots too. what the hell is that blue one? its supposed to be 1x16, 1x1, and 3 pci but its got more than that, no?

the first board IS NOT AN ULTRA BOARD. it is a regular nforce 4 board. evga doesnt make an nforce 4 ultra board. hey bona fide were do you get usb 1.1 from?? everything i see says usb 2.0. here is more info. http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/motherboards/1533_1.html. this looks exactly like the jetway board which has had good reviews. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813153030

Good point(s). I missed over the fact that it's not an Ultra board. EPoX would definately be a better choice.

Main reason I'm interested in this board is the support that eVGA is known for. Other than that, this board looks fair (not *excellent*, not *horrendous*, but just *fair*). Lakc of firewire is a big turn off though.

well i want an nforce4 ultra board myself which they do not have. they also are charging more for standard nforce4 than most charge for ultra. there is no bios section on their website. i called them and thay said if they think there is a problem they would send the customer a bios flash. that just sounds very odd to me.

Look at the Newegg specs for the SLI version.

oh come on its just a MISTAKE. the regular nforce board on newegg says 2.0 for onboard and the evga site says 2.0 for everything on both boards. did you really think it was usb 1.1 on an nforce4 board???? geesh.

the backpanel are 2.0, but the on board connectors for expansion slot usb ports or case front are 1.1

its a pretty basic mobo spec wise

I'm ordering the 7800GT that comes with the free mobo. Then gonna turn around and sell the board! I might give it a try before I post it on ebay though.....

With the free mobo option one you don't get BF2. But they do have a card that comes with BF2 too. Thats $419 I think. You could opt to get nothing in return and only pay $399. For $20 even the deal with BF2 is worth it since thats like $54 in the stores here.

I'll have to see if I can trade a 21" crt monitor for a low end AMD64 CPU and run that mobo for a bit....

I ordered the NF4 SLI/7800GTX combo from Newegg.

I'll let you guys know what the MB's like when I get it. From what I've seen, it's only missing Firewire; I don't own any FW devices, so it's a non-issue for me. As long as the board is stable, that's all I care about.
