LOL at charging for ASIC quality. Both my Classifieds are high with one at 73 and the other is 75 and I didn't have to pay extra for it. I can see how this has genuine value to real die hard overclockers who will pay for the 80%+, but it will mostly lure in the gullible who will just be buying the card for the cool factor. They won't be able to extract all the performance out of the card because they'll be running it on air with that cooler.

I wish EVGA would start selling the Classified and Kingpin as a bare card with no cooler. I would consider paying for a high ASIC if they removed the cost of that cooler from the equation.

Count me in on buying a bare card. Or, selling a hydrocopper without a ridiculous markup over the EK waterblock it's based on.
 
Meh, I'll just stick with my 980 until pascal at least. I guess I'm finally getting old and jaded but I just don't see dropping that kind of dosh on a vid card.
