eVGA warranty

Ive had my 7800gs for a while now but i havent yet registered it on eVGA's website. Should i have done that when i first got my card? Or can i just register whenever i want, like when something comes up, if i want to step-up or if my card just dies? thx

Step up is only valid for 90 days(?) from when you purchased your card. It doesn't matter when you register, since they require a copy of your invoices/receipt before step up is approved.

i understand that i only have 3 months, i mean a while as in maybe 1 month already. So if i were to step up in another month could i just register the day before i apply for step up? or if my card dies i can apply after it dies?

I regestered like a week before I stepped up. I normally just write down the S/N of the card (along with the model #, etc.) when I get the card. Then I try to take some time and regester it.

It doesn't really matter when.

The S/N is on the box as well, so you don't even have to open your case to register.

yes its crossed my mind, might upgrade to conroe when the time comes, see how it is upon release. I just wanted to know if i should have registered earlier or wtv, thx guys.

Its actually best NOT to register it unless you have to so if you decide to resell it, the warranty can be passed on to someone else. If you register it, the warranty will only be valid for you. That will bring down the resale value. A lifetime warranty is huge. 😛
