My card runs @ 590/1800 without problems (7900GT CO) so I'm assuming I didn't get one of the "bad batches"

LOL, restocking fee, the thing is busted!! So we would still have to pay shipping to get it to Newegg?
We don't have to pay them to ship it back though do we?

why don't they just release a bios. its not terribly difficult to flash to a new bios.
edit- let me clarify that. they should at least make it an option ffor people who are comfortable doing so rather than waiting a week+ for a ship and return plus shipping.

LOL bios fix. Luv that. All you need to do is use Coolbits and downclock the ram on your 7900GTX to 825. Anything higher, and it just overheats and starts artifacting games, specially BF2.
Downclock? That would suck, I wouldn't be utilizing my card fully.
Coolbits 2.0 is what I used...Originally posted by: GTaudiophile
How do you check for clock speeds when you get your card?

Funny. I was running my 7900GTX EGS at 690core and 880 memory with zero issues. anything higher made it very unstable
