EVGA step up program

pontifex

does anyone know if you need your proof of purchase for the step up program?

i want to send in for my $20 rebate. I don't know if i'll step up yet but i'd liek to keep that option if i can.

Yeah, I think so. They will probably just deduct the rebate amount off the price you paid... so if you plan to stepup, it wouldn't really matter.

However if for some reason you decide not to step up you'll lose out on the $20... just be sure the card is working perfectly because you won't be able to RMA it to the place of purchase once the bar code is removed.

Also make sure you register your card on EVGA.com withing 30 days of purchase or they'll cut your warranty down to one year.

yeah, thats my problem...

You just need a copy of the invoice for the step-up program. I'm not sure how the bar code factors in though. You could ask over on the EVGA boards, or their might be a FAQ.

I just started step up at evga.com. I didn't have my original copy of receipt but was able to have frys B & M reprint mine and mail it to me. If you contact who you purchased it from they may reprint and send it to you.
