evga step up - do they send a new product?

Do they send a new product in a new box? I mean I sent in my old product in its retail box with all its parts. It would suck to get one back without being new.

I am wondering because they just said they sent my new card, but they gave it the same serial # as my old card?

how exactly does this program work btw? i just bought an EVGA 8800gts 320mb and i figure in 90 days they have a newer better card with more ram that i can upgrade too, but what exactly do i need to know and do Xarick? (please dont link me to evga site)

Yes its a new retail card.
