EVGA SLI Nforce4 or Asus A8R MVP (Crossfire)?

I originally bought a asus a8r mvp thinking I was going to use that board for my next build. However, i just recieved the Evga nforce 4 sli board for free with a video card I bought. I was wondering which would be the better board to use in my build. Any opinions are welcome. Thanks, Rob

i never had the asus but i have the evga and i am very very very happy with it. i can do 329 fsb on my venice with it. lots of options. i would say try it out, dont like it, put the asus in. happy holidays.

I have the evga sli as well and it is an ok board. If I would have purchased it, I would have been unhappy. Any time you set a bios setting that the board doesn't like, you have to pull the battery to reset the bios. I never had to do that with any board I had in the past (Iwill or Asus). There's no safe mode for the bios....
Also, I find on random boots I get cmos errors and the bios resets to the default by itself. Other than the bios inconsistencies, its a great board.

Couple pretty long threads about the A8R-MVP here... just do a simple search in this forum for "a8r-mvp" and the first couple should be the feedback the board's owners (including me) have posted so far.
