I bought a 7900GTX 512MB card last year and registered it with the evga site and paid for the advance rma, it was 10.00, should the card fail.

The card started artifacting and so I contacted evga.
They issued a replacement rma number and cross shipped a replacement card.
I opened the box and its a 8800 GTS 640MB.

I contacted support concerned I got the wrong card shipped to me.
Found out they no longer have the 7900GTX cards and so they sent me a new 8800gts as a replacement.
There are not many manufacturers like that anymore.

I will defenitely continue to be a EVGA customer.

eVGA does seem to be a very good company but any company would have done this for you if they were out of your product (they have to replace it w/ something of equal or greater value). They sent you the 640MB ver. probably due to most people looking at the size of the memory on the video card as the most important factor (ie 1GB 8600GT), otherwise they'd sent you a 320MB version (which is still better then your old card).

Congrats

I think the thing that impressed me most was the way it was all handled.
I didn't have to jump through hoops like I have in the past with other companies.

I simply went to the website, logged in, click file rma, and that was it.
No having to explain yes I have cooling, no its not the monitor, etc.
They just took my word for it that the card had problems.

Receiving a better card was just the icing on the cake.

That's because you paid them an extra $10. ;)

My last 6 video cards have been all eVGA.
The only reason that keeps me coming back is its tech support & customer service, 2nd to none.
Kudos to them.
