eVGA RMA process

My 6800GS is acting funny so I decided to start a RMA process with eVGA, but since it's the only PCie card I have I'd like a replacement card for the duration of the repair.

How does eVGA usually handle RMA work like this? Also for my 6800GS now that it's discontinued what would they replace my card with?

They'll usually cross-ship, but you have to specifically request it over the phone. They'll probably either give you a refurb 6800gs or possibly a 7600gt if they don't have any 6800gs's left in stock. Also, you'll need to pay for shipping the card there AND back. I'd order a cheap x600 or something off Ebay to use temporarily, there was one guy a while ago selling them for about 25 bucks each.

I just filed an RMA online....do I need to call it in for cross-shipping?
