I just received (2) GTX 460's from the EVGA B stock store. After a bit of testing I determined that one of the cards is defective. When I called EVGA about returning or replacing the card I was told that I would be responsible for the shipping charges. Maybe i'm being a bit out of line, but I feel like covering the return shipping would be the least they could do considering they shipped me a defective card that was most likely not tested properly before leaving their hands. Has anyone else out there had a similar experience with EVGA? Is this common for other manufactures as well?

Yeah, eVGA makes you pay for return shipping unless you get their upgraded warranty plans, which you probably couldn't have gotten on a B stock item.

That makes sense for a warranty claim, but considering I received a DOA, this doesn't seem right. I feel a little cheated dishing out more money and time just to get what should have been delivered in the first place. I've always heard EVGA has great service, but this doesn't sit well with me.

POLITELY ask to speak to a supervisor, I bet you can get a shipping label sent to you...

and to answer your other question. Yes it is common among manufactures and distributors to require YOU the customer to pay for a return on an item if it was your fault or not, if it is there fault you MAY be reimbursed. Depends on the company though.

Well I've never ordered form their Bstock store, but when my 9800GX2 died last november they made me pay to send it back to them, but in return they shipped me a free GTX280. Can't complain really.

I totally see your point, and if they don't at least cover the shipping of the new product to you then I'd complain.
