evga rebates

I just bought an evga 8800gts 320 and was wondering if sending in the rebate would void my step up program because i cut out the box and i believe the step up program needs the box in good condition.

Have you known this for the fact?

eVGA only looks at the actual invoice price (that you paid for the existing card) and deducts the step-up's eVGA MSRP from it, regardless how much you'd receive from the rebate.
That's the price delta you end up paying for the new step -up + shipping both ways.

Well when you send them the box, they'll see the UPC cut out and know that you sent in some type of rebate.

Yes got an email from evga actually that specifically states they will deduct the rebate from invoice.
