Evga Rebate question

Just bought a 7600GT and the rebate says to cut off the UPC. Is that the whole sticker above warranty void if removed on the back of the box? Do I cut the whole sticker off the box? What does it mean warranty void if removed? That doesn't make any sense for them to need it if it voids warranty.

Or are they applying to the sticker on the card?

My friend bought the same card a few weeks ago and had the same question. The answer is that the (sticker?) that the warranty requires and the UPC that the rebate requires are two different things. Now, which is which, I dont remember, so wait for someone who knows or call up evga and ask

UPC is cool talk for barcode. By providing the barcode, the rebate center can verify that you actually bought the part.

but the under the sticker it says warranty void if removed. Now if I ever need to RMA do they need the box for anything? The barcode is on this same sticker.

Well if you plan on overclocking, your warranty will be void anyway. If not, I'd call either the warranty people or the rebate people and ask them.

If you use Coolbits, it does void the warranty.

Well, on some cards.;)
