I am trying to find two eVGA 7900 GTX cards but as everybody knows, no lcuk unless I want to pay $80.00+ over MSRP or I could go for two BFG cards.

Suggestions?

I heard there was some ado over evga's latest cards not working right, and I've had good experiences with BFG. I've also had evga as well. Both cards overclock pretty well with little effort. I'd go with BFG's I guess... but I think personally, the difference would be so small as to be undetectable.

Have you checked ebay? Some dude was selling 2x 7900 GT's (or GTX's?) in one auction as a pair. I find good deals there sometimes.

BFG. Speaking from experience. They even sent me a 7800 GT when I RMA'ed my dead 6800GT.

Non OC 7900GTX from EVGA are in stock at Mwave right now for $595. Considering the OC version from EVGA is 680 MSRP on evga's own site and is OOS, it's going to be hard to find an etailer who is going to sell for less.

Others have it in stock as well. Use pricegrabber.com to search around.

eVGA MSRP for the OC 7900 GTX is 579.99 not 679.99 and mwave is selling them for 699.99 or something close to that. I will pass on that "deal".

Sorry, Superclocked is this high MSRP.

I thought the MSRP of 7900GTX were $499? high demand? availibility problems?

Anyhow, you could consider the new 7900GT CO from EVGA. The cooler covers the Vrams, and its all copper too. Looks nice. Clocked at 550/1580 i believe it was.

Unless you want some "coolness" on your cards like BFGs "OMGWTFBFG SAUCE" or "MY BIG FKN GUN" sticker, you cant go wrong with either company. BFG comes pre OCed 20mhz on core and memory. But same cooling etc.
