EVGA nVidia 680i SLI MB (122-CK-NF68)

I just got a EVGA nVidia 680i SLI MB and according to nVidia it has Dualnet Tech, TCP/IP Acceleration, First Packet Tech, etc...

But where do I find this stuff to edit it? I installed the 15.00 drivers from the website and have not seen it in the Control Panel. Didn't see anything in the BIOS either. I know the Dualnet Tech is just plugging both RJ-45 ports in to my router, but I should be able to mess around with the TCP/IP Acceleration and the First Packet Tech from what I could tell from the limited info I could find.

I am currently using Vista Business 32-bit.

You need to install nVIDIA Control Panel (new) which I am not sure if it is available for Vista yet.

Ya, I have a nVidia Control Panel but it is all Video stuff.

nVIDIA Control Panel (new, not classic) should have 3D Settings, Display, but also Performance (Overclocking Options) and Networking as options on the home page of the control panel.

Not mine, all it has is 3D Settings, Display, Video and Television. Drivers 158.18

On paper, everything looks great with the Networking stuff. I personally tried it out and noticed NO increase in network speed. My ping on CS:Source servers was unaffected. Further, to use the tech., you have to disable your firewall and it made me feel a little naked?!?!? I disabled the feature and haven't used it since.

I've also heard that this is essentially what the Killer NIC card was supposed to do and that was fabled to be kind of a flop.

The Network stuff is buried in the Nvidia site somewhere, but you're looking for the Network Management Tools - It should be in the 15.00 package, but evidently not). Good luck, please post back if you get it going and whether it worked for you?

Yes I have drivers 15.00 for my motherboard.

I checked around on nVidia's site and found a PDF talking about this stuff. According to the PDF Vista isn't listed as being supported, just XP, BUT it also doesn't have any of the 600i series chipset boards listed. So it is possible the PDF is just old.

Yes, I remember now, it was this...

...but only for WinXP. Again, it didn't do much for me so Nvidia may be dropping support for Vista. This package has the Network Management Tools (v60.26) "Sedona" but IMHO for you it's not worth a backtrack to WinXP.
