Anybody have any experience with eVGA motherboards? I've purchased graphics cards from them in the past pretty regularly, but this would be my first foray into their mobos. Are they decently reliable? I'm going to be doing a little overclocking, but not much. I just want to make sure the board is not going to cause problems, as I'm building for a friend of mine and he doesn't know anything about hardware at all.

Here's the particular board I'm looking at, btw. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Most eVGA motherboards come with a 3-year limited warranty. They're CS is great and they're pretty good on updating the BIOS regularly. I've used them for years and never had any problems except for the 680i SLI, but that's old history. They are feature-sparse for the price, though, because they are overclocking boards.

Great, thanks. I've always heard their customer service was awesome, and I know their gfx cards are top-notch. I just wasn't sure how their motherboards were. Typically I go with Gigabyte, but I figured if eVGA's mobos were as good as their graphics cards I'd be in good shape.

eVGA is a company you normally don't hear bad things about. They do tend to be on the more expensive side though.

+1. I have had several eVGA boards, from NF41-SLI 939 to the eVGA i750 FTW and they've all ran very well. Many years ago, they were always a bit behind on getting a bug free BIOS (see the RAM issues @ 1T with the above NF41 board).

Interesting with the timing as well, as there's a topic about Sapphire stealing the mainboard team from eVGA.
