EVGA is now offering lifetime warranty

Notice the first part: for the life of the graphics card. No lifetime warranty is truly for your entire lifetime. Most are less than 7 years. With such a fast development cycle for video cards, I'd guess this warranty is 3-4 years at most.

what do you mean by that? it either is or isn't, right?

i had asked them on a couple occasions if the warranty was transferrable to someone who bought a card from me if i had registered it, and they told me the warranty followed the card.

Actually from what i remember back in my 9800 pro days, it was a 3 year warranty from what i recall anyways.

So that means that the Lifetime Warranty is very limited, for instance, if you own a 6600gt , you are not covered for lifetime? Am I reading this right?

eVGA 128-P2-N368-TX <----------Is not [Geforce 6600GT] as well as any model below a 6600gt

XFX has a 2 yr. IIRC and I've seen a lot of posts bashing their support and RMA.

No receipt necessary.
2nd hand purchasers also get the life time warranty.
All they would need to do is register the card.
