EVGA is helping katrina hurricane relief

lol imagine paying $1000 for that card...you really have to have deep pockets to afford something like that 😀

I feel for the victims of this tradgedy, but people are putting out their hands in all kinds of unique ways. Just the other day I saw an internet ad to donate to the pet victims of katrina, and my realtor board keeps sending me request for money via emai for the realtor victims of katrina.

Next up will probably be Barnum and Bailey's fund raiser for the Mardi Gras clowns victims of Katrina😉

I could see myself buying something like that (unless the price goes way obove $1000). You're getting a nice GFX card, and you are supporting a good cause. Plus it is signed by Jen-Hsun Huang (which I actually think is pretty cool.)

are u serious? Was it actually made out of platinum??

You do understand that the sale of the card is symbolic? Anyone buying a 7800GTX could easily find a better deal on pricewatch, but that isn't the point. Although, I do suggest that the purchaser of this card Step-Up to the the KO version. 🙂

kudos to eVGA.

yes kudos to eVGA. I hope this card sells for $50k. I grew up on the gulf coast of Alabama and was on vacation in New Orleans a little over a month ago. Southern Miss. and Louisiana will never be the same. Those people need as much help as they can get right now.

Well that's kinda cool. Plus, whatever the final price of the card is, eVGA will double that and add THAT onto the final price.

I guess that would be triple the final price then. Good stuff.

It WOULD help if all those welfare people would try helping themselves some and quit just crying and expecting everyone else to help them.

It's a good thing that it wont be the same.

Yeah that is cool. I just read to "100% of the proceeds" and thought WTF they are only helping their selves get publicity with that; but the double the winning bid on top of that does make it good stuff.
