Hey all, I am slowly building a new pc to replace the one in my sig. My question is on video card and what is the difference between the 2 following. I know the one has a nicer cooling on it but is that all? Is it really worth it for the $50 more in cost for it?

EVGA 8800GTX superclocked 621mhz/2000mhz speed

EVGA 8800GTX KO 626mhz/2000mhz speed

I do not plan on OCing the video cards but running stock and only using 1 for now.

thx

Fifty dollars more for 5Mhz on the core? I would say not worth it. AFAIK the only difference is the more expensive card has the fancy metal shroud around the cooler which helps it "cool" a little better. It looks better too if you're into that. I'd get the cheaper card and spend the $50 on FEAR or Oblivion or your game of choice :).

Spend less and geta normal eVGA card and overclock that for FREE, spend how much ever left over for a Thermalright HR-03 plus
