Evga GTX 770 FTW power question

I have a Evga gtx 760 acx right now and wanted to get the Evga gtx 770 ftw. this card requires a 6 pin and a 8 pin and so does my 760
Question is can i power the 770 with two 6 pin PCI-E plugs?
My PSU(750 watts) only has 6 pin plugs
I am powering my 760 this way and the card works great even though it is supposed to use a 6 and 8 , so would the 770 be the same thing?

If you buy it new it should come with an adapter, and you should use it. The card would likely not boot or become unstable without the correct connector. A 770 uses far more power than a 760, and when overclocked could exceed the wattage supplied by two 6-pin plugs.
