It probably because you can no longer buy it retail and the seller is looking to cash in on some sucker.

This happens with a lot of products in general not just GPUs.

I have seen the 650 Ti Boost available in some places...

Why buy a GPU that has performance the same as a GTX 750 Ti when you can buy a GTX 770 for cheaper?
