Just wondering what they changed exactly, i was always able to adjust the fan speed up to 100% using EVGA Precision so i dont know why they are "unlocking" that feature, and @ 65% Fan i am stable 865/3800 stock voltage

Should i still get the update or will it screw things up for me ? anyone know exactly what bios changes were made ? ie voltage ? (and no i dont want to use MSI afterburner to change the voltage myself)

Im trying to understand what your saying.

You always want the most updated version of apps for compatibility and enhancements.

Its unfortunate EVGA preciosion doesnt have voltage control.

Also what is 3800 , I understand your core is @ 865 but what is 3800 ?

Go with the version that worked with the feature you wanted from the fan . soo uninsatll what you have and dl a older vga precision back when you were happy with the fan. gl and gb
 
it sets you stock clocks to 720 core from 675. I guess they figured every gtx460 will do 720 core easy.

Its free, its safe , just use the update and relax.
